A Service Engineer is needed for a global power leader in the Columbus, IN area. This position serves as a technical liaison between field test vehicle fleets and engineering teams, managing project issues and implementing solutions for Midrange engines while ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various departments.

responsibilities:

• Act as the liaison between field test vehicle fleets and engineering teams to manage issues and ensure fleet functionality.

• Project manage the resolution of any problems that arise in the field.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to identify, define, and prioritize product problems.

• Implement solutions for Midrange engines and their components.

• Document and clearly define product issues for further resolution.

• Conduct failure analyses on Midrange engine components to assist Field Service, Warranty, and Engineering teams.

• Meet with customers and distributors to investigate problems, provide solutions, and offer training.

• Support product development teams by installing and monitoring field test engines/components.

Skills:

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in an unstructured work environment.

• Proficient in solving complex problems using data-based methods.

• strong PC skills (Word, Excel, etc.).

• Knowledge of internal combustion engines and engine systems preferred.

• Familiarity with Six Sigma and statistical methods preferred.

Education and Experience:

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering (or equivalent).

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in a technical or engineering role.
