Description

We are looking for a Snr Accountant to our client's team in the South Metro Columbia area. In this role, you will be operating within the construction/contractor industry, providing crucial financial services and supporting both internal and external customers. The Snr Accountant will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, creating journal entries, working closely with department managers to assist with GL inquiries, month end reporting and analysis, fixed asset management, and monthly sales tax reporting. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Finance team but will need to function well in an autonomous atmosphere. Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of related GL accounting experience, a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, intermediate Excel skills, and experience working with an ERP system.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the role of an Accountant, preferably in the Manufacturing/Construction industry.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations.

• Experience in General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting ERP systems

• Experience in conducting Month End Close procedures.

• Knowledge of Intercompany Accounting and Intercompany Transaction.

• Experience in handling Monthly Sales Tax.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills.
