Job Description

As a Principal Software Developer on the OCI Specialized Cloud Programs team you will be responsible for developing new applications and enhancements using Oracle Application Express (APEX) to drive efficiencies, visibility, and improve process workflows. As a member of a small development team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the complete development lifecycle and take ownership of multiple, diverse projects. You will be working with a non-technical team, so the ability to communicate and explain technical concepts in simple and easy to understand terms is critical.

You will be responsible for:

• Designing, building, and supporting web applications primarily using the Oracle APEX tool set.

• Working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and create technical design specifications for new development.

• Performing testing, debugging, change control functions and application support.

• Optimizing existing applications and scripts for both usability and performance.

• Authoring clear and concise documentation of system builds and application configurations.

• Following best practices to evaluate new features and technologies, and implement changes.

• Collaborating on planning and identifying product and project dependencies and risks.

• Leading, driving best practices, excellence, and improvements within the team

Responsibilities

Preferred qualifications:

• Eight (8) or more years relevant experience

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience relevant to functional area

• Relational database concepts, data modeling, and SQL proficiency

• Front-end web development technologies including HTML, CSS3, and JavaScript preferred

• Apex 21+ and PL/SQL with Oracle database experience a plus

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
