GCG Datacom Director of Product Management in Columbia, South Carolina

About the Opportunity

As our Datacom Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the strategy and execution of Paige Datacom Solutions' portfolio of low-voltage wire products, including the GameChanger Cable. This portfolio serves the Data Center and Intelligent Building markets, where we provide high-performance, innovative connectivity solutions that support evolving industry needs.

This role is part of the Datacom team at Paige, a GCG Company, where we thrive on collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to customer success. As Product Manager, you will lead the entire product lifecycle, from market analysis and product development to commercialization and performance tracking. Working closely with sales, marketing, and engineering teams, you will ensure our solutions exceed customer expectations while driving growth.

What you’ll do

Product Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with company goals and market demands

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities for product innovation and growth

  • Prioritize product features, enhancements, and developments to maximize customer value and revenue potential

Product Development & Lifecycle Management

  • Lead the entire product lifecycle, from concept through commercialization, ensuring on-time and successful launches

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver high-quality, scalable Datacom products

  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry standards, technologies, and customer requirements to drive product evolution

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Engage with key customers, distributors, and industry partners to gather insights and strengthen relationships

  • Partner with the sales team to develop compelling value propositions and support major customer opportunities

  • Monitor product performance metrics (market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction) and adjust strategies accordingly

What you’ll bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • Minimum 10 years of product management experience in the wire and cable industry, with a strong focus on low-voltage solutions

  • Proven track record of managing products in technical and fast-paced environments

Skills & Attributes

  • Deep knowledge of low-voltage wire products and their applications in Data Centers and Intelligent Buildings

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively across departments and with external partners
