Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bankruptcy Attorney with a proven track record of representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, comprehensive knowledge of bankruptcy laws, and experience advocating on behalf of creditors’ rights in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a critical role in advising clients on complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, including filing claims, attending hearings, and protecting client interests throughout the process.
Provide legal advice on creditors’ rights, debt recovery, and bankruptcy strategies.
Draft, review, and file legal documentation, including motions, objections, proofs of claim, and other pleadings.
Conduct in-depth legal research on bankruptcy and insolvency issues to develop effective strategies for clients.
Negotiate with debtors, trustees, and other parties to secure favorable outcomes for creditors.
Handle proceedings under Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.
Advise clients on out-of-court solutions, including restructuring and settlement strategies.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, such as finance or corporate teams, on matters involving bankruptcy implications.
Stay updated on relevant bankruptcy regulations, case law, and emerging trends.
Maintain client relationships by providing regular updates, explaining legal processes, and addressing concerns promptly.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar
3+ years of experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and creditors' rights.
Exceptional research, writing, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
