Role at a Glance

Lincoln National Corporation seeks an Analyst, Application Development in Radnor, PA to consult/analyze and deliver assignments/projects for Group Protection IT Claims of application development responsibility. Act as a resource and develop complex innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications utilizing legacy and modernized technology and providing continuous DevOps production support. Deliver business application software solutions following Agile system development life cycle process. Maintain legacy and emerging developments/trends for Group Protection Claims, assess impact, and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments in legacy and modernized solutions. Analyze, design, recommend, code, debug, integrate, test (unit / functional / performance) and implement software application solutions for systems. Research, develop, implement, maintain, analyze, document procedures, and provide input and validates increasingly complex business application solutions and existing programs to determine requirements, solution, test and implementation plans. Create Group Protection systems, tools and functionality, with a focus on Claims and Eventing solutions of increasingly complex technical specifications from business or technical requirements and specifications. Prepare and/or generate test data and automated tests for functional and non-functional requirements. Investigate and resolve problems including providing continual support for production systems.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related IT field; 3 years experience utilizing Agile methodology owning, identifying, researching, analyzing, designing, developing, testing (unit, functional, non-functional, performance), implementing, maintaining, documenting, modernizing, and continuous production support meeting security standards on legacy and modern applications utilizing service and eventing orientated solutions. Experience must include:

  • 3 years experience full stack (front and back end) analyzing, designing, coding, debug, integration, and testing (unit / functional / performance), adhering to all software security standards for application running on prem and in the Cloud / AWS.

  • 3 years experience managing the execution, deployment, monitoring, security remediations and continuous production support for the full lifecycle of web and desktop applications in an Agile methodology. Including solutions utilizing API, service and event based architectural patterns.

  • 3 Years experience developing on existing legacy and creating new modern solutions on prem and in the Cloud / AWS utilizing Java, JSP, Junit, HTML, WebSphere, C, C++, Spring Boot, Restful API / web Services, GraphQL, SQL, Postgress, React, AWS services, building and maintaining pipelines, Docker, New Relic, Splunk, Gitlab, GitHub, and security scanning solutions (Fortify, Dependency Check (OWASP), Dynamic).

  • 3 years experience providing continuous production support and development (DevOps) for legacy and modern solutions utilizing technologies mentioned above utilizing real time, batch and task/work flow management functions, logging and proactive monitoring and alerting to adhere to SLA and service degradation prevention.

  • 3 years experience migrating / rewriting legacy solutions to modern architecture from on prem to Cloud / AWS and in hybrid usage.

  • 1 year of experience utilizing queuing, eventing, Circuit Breaker patterns, database platform migration and auto scaling architectural principles and tooling, in a CI/CD environment.

The pay range for this position is $105,206 - $130,000 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
