Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our client's team in the Government Contracting industry, located in Columbia, Maryland. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that require a high level of organization and attention to detail, such as processing financial information, maintaining accurate records, and resolving financial inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly financial close procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Perform bank reconciliations to confirm all transactions are accounted for

• Manage account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records

• Utilize Costpoint - Deltek for various accounting tasks

• Maintain and analyze trial balance sheets for financial transparency and accuracy

• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Resolve customer inquiries related to financial matters promptly and professionally

• Maintain accurate customer credit records in line with industry standards

• Process and record financial transactions in adherence to established policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the government contracting industry

• Demonstrated proficiency in using Costpoint - Deltek

• Proven experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
