Description We are in search of a Software Engineer to be an integral part of our Security team in Columbia, Maryland. The role involves the development of embedded software, working with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Xen, and KVM, as well as containerization technology including LXC, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance results.

• Develop and maintain software processes and systems.

• Work with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Xen, and KVM.

• Utilize containerization technology including LXC, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Engage in embedded software development.

• Provide excellent written and oral communication with team members.

• Display reliability, professionalism, self-motivation, and enthusiasm in daily tasks.

• Lead engineering teams from concept through operations and maintenance.

• Train and mentor team members on new concepts and technologies including but not limited to Data Science and Data Analytics; AI/ML.

• Create and develop training modules for team members.

• Utilize skills in Apache Struts, C++, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, CSS. Requirements • Proficiency in Apache Struts, C++, and ASP.NET is crucial for this role.

• Extensive knowledge of Database management required.

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems is a necessity.

• Experience with Hibernate ORM is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in AB Testing is required.

• Expertise in Ajax is highly valued.

• API Development skills are essential.

• Familiarity with CSS is a must.

• Candidates must have a strong understanding and experience in software engineering within the security industry.

• Demonstrable ability to work in a team and independently.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
