Iteris is seeking a District Sales Managerto sell the company's products, systems and/or services with focus on expansion in the inter mountain west market.
What you will be doing:
Prospect, sell, and establish key/strategic relationships with both existing and new customers, with a focus on "hunting"--i.e., prospecting and discovering new customers
Speak directly and demonstrate product or services to clients and distributors to explain features and merits of products or services offered
Answers all questions concerning a product or service, with appropriate coordination of sales negotiations where required
Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered
Make sales calls independently presenting product offerings to end user accounts
Sales calls to existing accounts and distributors to grow overall business
Attend regularly regional industry meetings and trade shows and use of social media
Regular use of customer relationship management (CRM) to document and manage activities in the territory
Work closely with distributors / channel partners to identify new business and maintain existing customer business to achieve sales targets
Maintain customer/prospect relationships before/after sale and maintain positive reference sites
Attends sales meetings and sales training classes
Participate fully in campaigns and new initiatives learning new products, upgrades, and changes in the market requirements
Up to 50% travel
What you need to be successful in this role:
Bachelor's Degree preferred (four-year college or technical school) or relevant experience. Field of Study: Business Administration, Sales, Traffic Management or related field
Preferred four (4) years in sales or business development in a technology field
Experienced in working with direct and indirect sales process
Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus
Proficient in MS Office
Iteris anticipates paying between $80,000 and $89,000 for this role. However, actual pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
