Focus on the Family Temp P/T Logistics Coordinator - Counseling in Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Logistics Coordinator – Counseling position exists to aid and facilitate the efficient operation of the Counseling Department’s logistical functions through specific delegations from the Logistics Manager, including support to the Christian Counselors Network (CCN), Hope Restored Aftercare coaching logistical processes, Counseling events, and daily department workflow. Position is cross-trained in all department support staff functions for agile teamwork.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Represents the Counseling Department on the phone, in business email correspondence, and in person using the appropriate tone, professionalism and writing as needed

  • Utilizes and helps maintain two scheduling systems within the department (Coaching and Counseling)

  • Presents reports and logistical updates to inform management’s decision-making

  • Coordinates all aspects of Counseling Department event preparation logistics, specifically the monthly Christian Counselors Fellowship breakfast and the 2024 Sexual Integrity Leadership Summit (SILS) conference that are held on the Focus on the Family campus

  • Leads as a liaison to Events department for planning of monthly and annual events

  • Manages multiple calendars and supports the management team with special projects

  • Contributes to updates or reforms in the team’s processes as commensurate with newer software or technology; updates written procedures for the support team, under supervision

  • Handles sensitive and confidential scheduling of Focus staff with counselors for employee consultations

  • Pursues utmost detail pertaining to the Christian Counselors Network and the accuracy of the members’ professional information as posted on the Focus website

  • Keeps managers well informed of workflow/logistical needs and necessary changes

  • Serves as an IT liaison between counselors and the IT Department, and assists counselors to resolve technical issues using knowledge of PC operating system and technical problem-solving skills

  • Understands the Hope Restored Aftercare process and assists in the maintenance of confidential Hope Restored client records

  • Collaborates closely with the Logistics Manager in maintaining the various databases, testing new applications and updates to improve administrative efficiency for Counseling Services

  • Understands the daily workflow necessities and administrative tasks within the department (queue management, request processing, meeting arrangements, purchasing, benevolent resource requests, and travel arrangements)

    Other Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greets VIP guests and responds to general inquiries

  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented

  • Office environment containing professional/ethical care of counseling data

  • Frequent exposure to crisis and stressful situations and emotionally sensitive subjects

  • Ability to sit at dual computer monitor for extended periods of time

    Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or equivalent experience

  • Experienced in timely and responsive actions to support senior leadership and logistical follow-through

    Pay Range: $18.00 to $21.00/hr
