Job Description:

Space System Program Manager

Parsons is looking for an agile Space Program Manager to join our Space Systems Development and Integration Team in Los Angeles California.

What You Will Be Doing :

  • Lead a space segment study and development effort design to deliver an innovative solution to meet U.S. Government requirements for a resilient space system.

  • Define and design system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility

  • Deliver on a fast-pace concept design and bench payload/hardware concept demonstration within first six months of contract execution to be followed by full scale design delivery and engineering development unit demonstrations within first 24 months.

  • Engage in solution development for additional space systems solutions efforts.

  • Manage a geographically dispersed team that includes several teammates delivering payload elements and other components that support the mission.

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

  • US Citizenship with DoD Security Clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or other STEM degree, with demonstrated experience in this mission domain

  • 10+ (12+ preferred) years of systems engineering experience in the defense industry (Master's degree can be replaced with required experience)

  • Strong communications skills and capacity to engage with current and potential clients and stakeholders

  • Experience with management of fixed price program delivery obligations that include both staff and subcontractor content.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% possible

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have :

  • Recent/current experience in government or industry supporting space, aerospace, or related defense programs supporting national security clients.

  • Experience with one or more engineering design and analysis tools such as MATLAB, System Toolkit, Solidworks, digital engineering, or analogous tools and understanding of digital engineering solution delivery objectives

  • Experience in both the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) procurement and contract execution domain as well as the Other Transaction Authority (OTA) approach.

  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.

  • Experience with effective organizational skills and pursue/deliver solutions including space system, ground, and launch integration packages

Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
