We are seeking an experienced Space Systems Senior Ground Communications Systems Engineer to support Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC/BC) portfolio. The position is available in Colorado Springs, CO.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities to transform satellite operations and improve resiliency.
  • Perform space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs related to ground communication systems, as required, to support any stage of the acquisition life cycle.
  • Provide technical oversight of development efforts (i.e., design, development, manufacturing, assembly, integration, test, production and sustainment) whether they are traditional acquisition methods (e.g., waterfall, spiral, etc.) or agile/prototype.
  • Support development of operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs; evolve system architectures, conduct and analyze requirements flow down, propose verification methodologies and mitigation appro

Qualifications Required (Skills) -MS/MA with more than 10 years of experience - Experience in remote site surveys, equipment transportation, installation, checkout, testing, and maintenance - Experience in ground systems engineering and analysis - Experience in networking and communications systems engineering, design, testing, and maintenance - Excellent problem solving and analytical skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills. - Must have experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers. - MUST HAVE AT A MINIMUM, A CURRENT TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A TS/SCI CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMEN

Qualifications Desired - Masters and/or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent - Experience working in development environment and/or U.S. Government weapons system program office. - Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, ITEA CTEP, Agile PM/PO, etc.).
