You will provide specialized project management support to Space Systems Command (SSC) in its mission to sustain and modernize the Satellite Control Network (SCN). The SCN provides highly reliable telemetry, tracking, command, communication, and control (TT&C3) for more than 170 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil and al Own Your Future. As a Project Management Specialist, with Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) you will primarily be responsible for providing project management support to the Government Project Officer (GPO) to support the execution of Battle Management Command, Control & Communications Sustainment (BCS) programs. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail. You will integrate new systems and services into the SCN, gain support for new and on-going efforts in all phases of the acquisition life cycle and develop and utilize engineering technical services to obtain systems engineering support and processes within BCS. Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: Provide general project support to include attending meetings and taking notes, drafting documents, maintaining the schedule, printing briefs, creating binders, tracking action items, and other duties as assigned. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to verify project requirements and ensure project goals are met. Provide technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff. Collect, normalize, and input data. Interpret results to generate multiple recommended courses of action, building staffing packages, comprehending, and applying concepts and guidance. Implement instructions and policies into routine performance to foster efficiency in day-to-day activities. Ensure consistent submission of high-quality products to the Government. Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy-oral and written. Qualifications
10+ years of experience with the Satellite Control Network or an equivalent DoD project. 3+ years of relevant experience performing project management for the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development Contractor. Motivated self-starter who is able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment, often with minimal guidance and within rigid timelines. Apply clear and structured thought processes and coherent decision making skills in a dynamic and adaptive environment. Outstanding communication skills in conveying complex issues in a way that is clear and concise and should be comfortable presenting information to various levels of leadership. Experience supporting an Acquisition Category Level III (or equivalent) software or hardware program. Desired Qualifications: Experience with the Air Force Satellite Control Network Scheduling Tool (AST). Experience with Advisory and Assistance Service (A&AS), or System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) to a government program office. Experience with ACAT I/II level acquisition programs. Experience with Space Systems Command (SSC) acquisition. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or Science. Graduate degree desired. Senior-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the use of an electronic government authorized information management system, collaboration portal, or integrated data environment (IDE).
