Kohl's Merchandising Manager in Colorado Springs, Colorado

About the Role

In this role, you will provide oversight of sales floor merchandising, pricing and recovery, leading associates to deliver excellent customer service. You will teach, coach, develop and manage the execution of all merchandising processes focused on consistent execution and merchandising expertise. You will be accountable for the overall results and success of all key performance measures with a primary goal of driving sales and profitability.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure store merchandising standards follow visual merchandising direction, accomplishing product presentation; make decisions about and adaptations to merchandising direction based on the layout, adjacencies and needs of the store; ensure product is displayed in a manner which is clear and easy to understand and is compelling to the customer

  • Maintain appropriate levels of product on the sales floor by planning and directing floor remerchandising and replenishment as necessary based on sell through and seasonal changes

  • Direct, teach and train associates to accurately execute all company merchandising direction to brand standard in a timely manner

  • Lead efforts and execution of pricing activities in store, ensure that price changes, sign changes and ticketing procedures are completed accurately and in a timely manner

  • Support prevention of loss by educating associates, monitoring daily store activity, product protection standards, ensuring company policies are followed and partnering with Loss Prevention

  • Manage the training process for new hires on the merchandising team on merchandising standards, product knowledge, tools and resources and Kohl’s brand standards

  • Support and partner with operations leaders in store on merchandising incoming product, ensuring productivity and quality goals are met

  • Ensuring the store has strong operational standards, shortage mitigation, and merchandising presentation to include accurate pricing and proper signing

  • Monitoring and adjusting resources as the business dictates to support customer needs and workload demands

  • Assessing key performance indicators (KPIs) to make informed business decisions that drive overall store results

  • Managing talent, including hiring, training, developing, and supervising

  • Accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes

  • Training, monitoring and reinforcing company policies, procedures, standards and guidelines

  • Maintaining adherence to company safety policies and ensuring the safety of associates and customers

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What Skills You Have

Required

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Experience supervising teams or associates to include the responsibility for coaching to achieve daily goals and performance management

  • Great verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills to make quick decisions, problem solve and resolve conflict

  • Strong people management skills and an ability to develop talent

  • Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

    Preferred

  • Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in a managerial position

  • College degree OR equivalent combination of education and 2 years experience in retail or similar industry

Pay Range: $57,000.00 - $85,500.00
