As a Mail Clerk Tech, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our client can deliver their services uninterrupted. Based in Colorado Springs, CO, you'll assist the Project Manager with Mail and FedEx receiving and delivery twice a day. Under general supervision, the Mail Clerk Tech prepares completed print materials for shipment and completes various fulfillment tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately receive, sort, hand collate and insert materials into envelopes, apply labels, and process postage

• Ability to prioritize and conduct jobs according to schedule and quality standards and follows efficient work procedures

• Operates mailroom equipment, receives and tracks packages, record-keeping, coordinates with couriers for pickup and delivery, keeps shipping material stocked

• Works with receiving to pickup FedEx or delivered packages, checks them in and distribute items

• May Courier and deliver Mail or FedEx packages as needed

• Will setup and teardown auditorium for departments as needed

• Perform monthly fire extinguisher PM’s

• Oversee truck PM’s and inspection

• Assist maintenance team with moves, escorting, parts pickup and light maintenance task

• Must have experience with computers, Windows suite, and CMMS

• Must be able to obtain a secret clearance

• May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Work schedule is Monday - Friday 6am -2:30pm

• High-school diploma or comparable work experience

• Ability to meet deadlines and understand time issues

• Ability to prioritize and work with co-workers, supervisors and customers

• Ability to resolve customer issues and take responsibility for work performed

• Good customer service skills, professional attitude and appearance a must

• Good communication skills, written, read and verbal

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
