Hiring Laser Operators in Colorado Springs, CO

Job Type: 6 Month Contract-to-Hire

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Laser Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Shift: Swing shift from 3pm-11pm. Initial training on 1st shift.

Job Description:

  • Operate laser cutting machines to produce parts according to specifications.

  • Set up and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate cuts.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment.

  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

  • Document all operations and processes accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating laser cutting machines, preferably in a manufacturing or steel industry.

  • Experience with MAZAK laser equipment.

  • Strong technical skills and ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Training:

  • Comprehensive training provided for 4-8 weeks, depending on experience.

Work Site:

  • This is a fully on-site position in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Work Environment:

  • Weekend overtime required periodically if the machine goes down, to make up production.

  • Industrial, shop environment with overhead cranes. No swamp coolers or A/C.
