SAIC DevSecOps Engineer Lead in COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado

Description

SAIC is seeking a DevOps Engineer to lead our Toolchain Operations team. You will play a critical role in supporting and improving the entire DevOps software delivery lifecycle tech stack. You will support and advance modern tools and workflows that enable our development teams to scale our cloud software offerings with high quality and fast release cycles.

This team is responsible for the software lifecycle, and deployment of USSF Cloud Initiatives, designed to streamline performance, reduce administrative overhead and workload, and deliver a seamless user experience with our customers. We are looking for talent primarily in Vandenberg, California, El Segundo, California and Colorado Springs, Colorado for hybrid work situation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and evaluating various DevOps tools, including CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, configuration management tools, monitoring platforms, and cloud infrastructure services.

  • Support the design of the overall architecture of the DevOps toolchain, ensuring seamless integration between different tools and optimizing workflows.

  • Lead the implementation and deployment of chosen DevOps tools across the organization, configuring and customizing them to meet project requirements.

  • Continuously monitor the performance of the DevOps toolchain, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements to ensure optimal performance.

  • Drive automation initiatives across the toolchain, standardizing processes and practices to improve consistency, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field, with nine (9)+ years of overall experience

  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret and higher; must be a current U.S. Citizen.

  • Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI/CD) and version control systems (e.g. Git).

  • Solid scripting skills in Shell, Python, or similar languages.

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience with cloud service platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Premetheus, Grafana).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Zero Trust, identity management, and automated security monitoring.

  • Experience with DevSecOps.

  • Experience with continuous deployment.

  • DevOps management certifications (e.g. Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, Kubernetes Certification).

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
