Job Overview

The Clinical Dietitian Professional is an experienced team member who provides comprehensive, safe, and ethical medical nutrition therapy to patients, families, and other clients in inpatient or outpatient settings.

Our clinical RDs are highly integrated within the multidisciplinary team on the inpatient units and outpatient clinics at Children's Hospital Colorado. The Clinical Dietitian Professional is an experienced team member who provides comprehensive, safe, and ethical medical nutrition therapy to patients, families, and other clients in inpatient or outpatient settings. This is an outpatient position supporting the Lifestyle Medicine program and the Colorado Springs Diabetes Center.

Department Name: Briargate Clinical Nutrition Job Status: Full Time, 40 hours per week Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p

Qualifications

EDUCATION - Bachelor's Degree is required. Masters degree preferred. EXPERIENCE - Three (3) years clinical nutrition LICENSURES -Registered Dietitians (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN) adhering to the Commission of Dietetic Registration guidelines. This role will be supporting a diabetes clinic, experience with diabetes and CDCES credential preferred.

POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE Neonate - 30 days to 1yr Toddlers - >1yr to 3yrs Pre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrs School age - >5yrs to 13yrs Adolescent - >13yrs to 18yrs Adult - >18yrs to 65yrs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. Assesses, plans, and delivers accurate medical nutritio therapy using established standards and evidence. 2. Incorporates principles of culture-competence and family-centered care. 3. Trains and observes RDs, interns, and students in their clinical practice. Provides feedback to enhance understanding and compliance. 4. Pursues professional growth and skill development. 5.
