Pay Range DOE: $20 - $24/hour

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This job is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act.

Job Summary:

Goodwill Staffing has a fabrication client that is seeking a detail-oriented shop drawing detailer to create shop drawings for metal fabrication. These drawings will be submitted to Project Managers Architects and General Contractors for approval. Goodwill Staffing's client works in both the residential and commercial metal fabrication industries. Some of the products they manufacture include but are not limited to stairs, railings, awnings, structural steel packages, and other miscellaneous metal items. This position requires a professional attitude, ability to interact with and relay critical information to shop employees, Project Manager’s, and the company owner. Reliability is essential to being successful in this position. There will be occasional offsite field measurements required.

  • The ability to read, decipher, and communicate blueprint information

  • Proficient in DraftSight and Solid Works

  • Understanding of Local Building Codes

  • Good Communication Skills

  • Ability to Work Well with Others

  • Two years industry experience is advantageous, but we are willing to work with some one that is experienced in DraftSight and Solid Works.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Solid Works

  • DraftSight

  • Print reading

  • Ability to interpret drawings

  • Commercial/Residential construction knowledge

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • 2D & 3D Programming for Plasma Cutting Machines
