The Associate Producer position exists to help shape content and collaborate with the production team to contribute to the development and execution of high-quality radio programs that align with the mission to strengthen families and promote biblical principles.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists in the planning and coordinating of radio program content, ensuring alignment with Focus On The Family's values and objectives

• Collaborates with hosts, writers, and other team members to develop engaging and relevant content

• Participates in pre-production meetings and contributes innovative ideas for programs

• Coordinates logistics for remote recordings and interviews

• Assists in managing relationships with guests, contributors, and external partners

• Stays informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance the quality of our radio productions

• Supports social media and digital content initiatives related to radio programs

  Other Duties/Responsibilities:

• Attends weekly producer’s meeting

• Assists in general departmental duties

• Perform other duties as assigned

  Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Office environment/recording studio

• Must have ability to work occasional long hours on short notice

• Stress and pressure associated with deadlines

  Personal Characteristics:

• Professional, detail-oriented, thorough, flexible, articulate, logical, decisive, self-motivated, diplomatic, sensitive, considerate

  Knowledge/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, journalism, communications, or a related field

• 2-4 years of experience in radio production, including scriptwriting and studio operations

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Understanding of and commitment to Focus On The Family's mission and values

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed

  Pay Range: $26.00 to $30.00/hr
