Lockheed Martin Associate Engineering Manager - Systems and Software in Colorado Springs, Colorado

We are looking for a candidate who wants to broaden their Systems and Software Integration and Test Engineering Management experience while supporting the Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS) USMC and Force Level (FL) programs. The selected candidate will assume a first-line management position and is responsible for day-to-day tracking and execution of Systems and Software Integration and Test engineering activities for the TBMCS programs. They will be expected to help lead the planning and execution for all phases of each software release from a focused vision on Software Integration and Test considerations for each phase of software development.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Evaluate individual performance and regularly participate in employee recruitment, selection, training, work assignments, salary, recognition and employee growth actions.

• Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities for Software Integration and Test tasks, to include: support creation and validation of program schedules; understand and report on Earned Value Management System (EVMS); track monthly program cost/schedule; manage customer objectives; and support proposals/cost estimation activities.

• Define, manage, and track Software Integration and Test activities, including Software Integration and Test status, issues, roadblocks/challenges and associated action plans, communicate activities to the team, and collaborate with the Engineering Program Manager.

• Contribute to and/or produce and present required program information/status related to Software Integration and Test engineering activities for the customer and/or program leadership as required.

• Interface regularly with both team members and program leadership concerning operations and scheduling of all phases of development, production, and test.

• Oversee the development, execution, and analysis of system test activities, procedures, plans, and scripts.

• Provide direction on daily operations and lead Software Integration and Test team to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

• Responsible for Release Manager (RM) Activities as Key Individual named on the contract.

• Administer and execute policies and procedures that typically affect individual team members.

Basic Qualifications:

• A degree from an accredited college with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment

• Previous experience on a software development, system integration/test, or sustainment program

• Demonstrated success in technical leadership role and driving issues/challenges to closure

• Knowledge of systems engineering, integration and test (SEIT), and mission assurance fundamentals necessary for delivering command and control systems

• Experience leading/managing a team

• Experience developing/executing program schedules

• Experience working closely with customer personnel

• Experience in overseeing, organizing, and/or assisting Integration and Test staff in the execution of tasking

• Willingness to travel, as necessary

• Willingness to occasionally work shift schedules and support program objectives that require additional hours beyond the scheduled work week (overtime), as necessary

• Must have an Interim Secret Clearance or be able to obtain one

Desired Skills:

• Previous experience with the TBMCS program

• Previous experience with Planning Tools for Air Tasking Orders/Airspace Control Orders (ATO/ACO)

• Excellent facilitation skills and able to lead resolution of issues

• Experience with Microsoft Project and building/executing/starting project schedules

• Familiarity with Agile development, pipeline, DevSecOps, and Test Automation

• Familiarity and experience with Configuration Management Systems such as GitLab

• Familiarity and experience with Atlassian toolset (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)

• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex information, technical decisions, and issues to both highly technical and non-technical reviewers

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills/ full spectrum leadership abilities, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers

• Demonstrated experience within Software/Systems Integration and/or Test Engineering

• CAM and EVMS work experience

• Working knowledge of 1LMX tools

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
