About The OpportunityPlans and oversees layout of equipment, office, and production facilities. Conducts studies in operations to maximize work flow and spatial utilization. Ensures facility efficiency and workplace safety.100% Remote Opportunity. Plans and designs manufacturing processes in industrial plant. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
Essential Job Functions
Serves as a technical resource for key stakeholders on continuous improvement initiatives to assure production lines and/or assets meet standard operation rates and reliability
Designs and manages projects to enhance efficiencies, improve performance, and meet growth plans, including defining the scope of work, budget, schedule and responsibilities
Evaluates, diagnoses and repairs equipment as needed while training onsite resources
Networks, attends industry events, and reviews professional publications to expand industry, professional and technical knowledge to serve as subject matter expert
Assures all tasks are performed in a safe manner, and comply with all company, local, state, and federal requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required
Some relevant experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product components
Knowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques for designing, building and managing the manufacture of new products Knowledge of the methodology and associated phases, activities and deliverables for the design of new products and the enhancement of existing products; ability to apply the methodology in diverse scenarios
Knowledge of the methodology and associated phases, activities and deliverables for manufacturing new or enhancing existing products
Ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing
Knowledge and associated ability to apply technical, scientific and mathematical knowledge to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting
Occasional travel required
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
