Description We are inviting applications for the role of Staff Accountant, operating within the retail industry, based in Collierville, Tennessee. This role involves comprehensive involvement in general accounting duties, ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining the highest standards of financial management in the department.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and prepare accounting records and financial reports, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and conform to departmental standards.

• Establish, maintain, and input entries into the correct accounts.

• Utilize current technologies for document management and maintain accurate financial records.

• Develop and distribute forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel.

• Keep abreast of current and emerging GAAP and related audit standards, applying this knowledge in daily tasks.

• Manage time effectively, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and work with limited supervision.

• Communicate financial information and ideas effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Exercise judgment and initiative in interpreting policy and guidelines on financial matters.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, as well as Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger maintenance, Journal Entries, and Month End Close processes.

• Utilize Oracle for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Previous experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to handle General Ledger tasks

• Competence in making Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close processes

• Proficiency in using Oracle software

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Willingness to continue learning and developing professionally within the accounting field.
