DESCRIPTION OF WORK A Corrections Food Service Instructor is a lead worker instructing inmates in the areas of food preparation, production, and service. You will work with a team of inmates to ensure safe and sanitary operation of tools and equipment, maintain proper storage practices, and meet meal production and service expectations. You will also plan work assignments, conduct performance evaluations, and maintain proper control over inmates by enforcing custody and security regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week. Work hours are 4:30 AM to 12:30 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.00 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
