Job Title: Order Picker

Job Description

As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in handling customer and retail orders efficiently. Your main responsibilities will include filling orders using a pick list or software application, loading and unloading conveyors, and palletizing shipments for outbound staging. Additionally, you will pick merchandise from bins or shelves, prepare and package orders according to customer specifications, and ensure the accuracy of all orders. You will also assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the work area, storing inbound shipments correctly, and operating various warehouse equipment.

Hard Skills

  • Operation of pallet jacks, carts, bins, and totes

  • Utilization of software applications for order picking

  • Loading and unloading conveyors

  • Palletizing shipments

  • Packaging orders for shipment

  • Printing labels and operating stretch wrap machines

Soft Skills

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Good personal hygiene

  • Commitment to workplace safety and product safety

  • Ability to maintain good attendance

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Collegedale, Tennessee.

Work Environment

SHIFT: 6:30am-3pm Monday-Friday. Overtime is voluntary and usually starts at 5:30 am before the regular shift M-F, not much weekend work (some flexibility to start at 7:30-4 if requested). The team consists of only 15 people, requiring good teamwork as everyone is essential. Dress code pertains to a non-climate controlled warehouse. Success in this role is marked by good attendance, attitude, and effort, which are key factors for transitioning to permanent employment.
