What We Want

The Program Coordinator will support all facets of the Statistics Online Master’s Program including faculty course and classroom support, student exams and proctoring, and data collection and reports. The selected candidate will be the main point of contact on logistic issues and information regarding the Online Program. Additional responsibilities will include working closely with the MS Academic Director and Program Manager to ensure both student needs and faculty needs are being met. The Program Coordinator will assist with website updates, marketing duties and ad campaigns.

  • Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.

  • Special Note: This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding, which is renewed through provisions of the grantor of the contract. Therefore, this position is contingent upon continuation of funding from these grants and/or contracts, as well as satisfactory job performance.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Two years of related experience

  • Experience integrating new educational tools into courses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications

  • Verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with social media marketing and general marketing using ad words and campaigns

  • Experience with higher education online programs

Responsibilities:

  • Program / Course Support: Assists and supports faculty in learning management system (LMS) related items including course layout, course content, exam setup, and homework submission areas. Assists with the creation and maintenance of course documents for the current LMS (Canvas), Zoom, and other course related packages. Manages all aspects of Zoom proctoring including the creation and maintenance of procedures, creation of exam sessions, student and faculty communication and general support for exams. Responds to inquiries regarding program offerings. May develop and update training materials and deliver training sessions. Plans and implements programs and assists in their evaluation.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Creates forms and surveys to collect information from current and former students. Maintains database on potential students, current students and former students. Provides reports to departmental leadership on program enrollment, trends, and program surveys.

  • Supervision / Training: Supervises student workers who assist faculty with course recordings and other tasks related to online learning. Provides training to faculty and TAs on the LMS and tool usage.

  • Marketing: Creates content and distribution of promoted materials to raise the visibility of the department. Works with a marketing company to update ads and campaigns. Maintains the website for Online Learning.
