Our comprehensive benefits and dedication to employee growth have fostered a workforce with exceptional retention and long-term commitment JOB SUMMARY: As the Production Floater, you ll be responsible for operating a variety of machines to assist in meeting production demands; including, but not limited to, Saws (diamond blade and wire), Mausoleum Assembly, Epoxy Applicator and Patcher, Polish Machines, Core Machines, Milling Machines, etc. WHAT YOU LL BE DOING: Inspecting stone for quality and appearance Using cranes to load and unload work from the machines as needed Loading pre-programmed profiles, patterns, or files from the network Diamond Blade Saw Operation Indexing the saw blade to the correct size and dimension Performing operator-level calibration and alignment of the saw Creating cutting and profile programs for all of the saws from shop tickets and network .dxf files using AutoCAD Wire Saw Operation Operating, maintaining, and programming wire saws Using patterns and measuring tools to layout blocks for sawing Creating and editing cut programs in AutoCAD and other CNC programs Mausoleum Assembly Pouring cement floors Setting all project components by applying the correct finishing techniques Taping and caulking joints on assembled buildings Epoxy Application & Patching Mixing and applying carborundum strips following the appropriate steps Removing stains from stone with the correct chemical application Caulking stone joints as needed Polish Machine Operation Loading, setting, operating, and safely unloading the polish machine with an overhead or jib crane Checking finish with gloss meter to ensure production standards are met Core Machine Operation Installing and programming specialty patterns and new patterns into an automated machine Monitoring amperage on the machine to maximize drill bits and maintain sharpness Milling Machine Operation Setting up, operating, and maintaining the Omag stone mills Reviewing program sheet with the stone and production ticket to verify the correct stone and tools are loaded Assembling mill tools as needed for the program and disassembling tools when the job is complete SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: General compute skills. General knowledge of software used to program CNC, milling, and/or turning machines, i.e. 3D modeling, CAD, and/or CAM software. Must have good hand-eye coordination Ability to calculate material needs to meet job requirements and transfer them to the most efficient use of raw materials Understand general and job-specific stone colors, characteristics, quality, and appearance criteria to meet job requirements Must have good color perception and not be color blind or deficient Mechanically inclined.
