Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Electrical Technician. The successful candidate will coordinate housekeeping/safety efforts, be part of a team that performs maintenance on, repairs and improves the equipment at Nucor Steel-Hertford County as well as supporting the overall operation of the steel making process. Safely maintain electrical equipment and components throughout a steel manufacturing plant, including electrical and electronic equipment and components, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). This includes, but is not limited to: troubleshooting and repairs, cooperating with and supporting operations, aggressively pursuing process improvements, assisting with documentation and training for all equipment, and other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:

• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4 or more years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance and automation experience

• 2 or 4 year engineering or technical degree

• Experience with leading a team
