We are seeking a dynamic and organized Permit Coordinator to join our Community Development team. This vital role supports our community by providing top-notch assistance throughout the permitting process and ensuring smooth operations for residents and businesses alike.

What You\'ll Do:

  • Be the Go-To Expert: Serve as the primary contact for applicants, guiding them through the permitting process and ensuring they submit complete and accurate applications.
  • Streamline the Process: Help applicants take advantage of electronic submissions and web-based status reviews, simplifying their experience.
  • Ensure Accuracy & Efficiency: Review and process permits, ensuring all the necessary approvals and documentation are in place for timely issuance.
  • Track & Maintain: Keep detailed records of the permit process, compile reports on activity, and track permits with no activity or expired dates.
  • Collaborate with Partners: Facilitate communication with outside agencies and serve as the primary contact for public agency inquiries.
  • Be a Problem Solver: Provide research and customer service support on various topics like permit history and inspection records.
  • Go the Extra Mile: From scanning building plans to issuing certificates of occupancy, youll be integral in keeping everything running smoothly!

What We\'re Looking For:

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED and at least 12 months of related experience. Previous secretarial or administrative experience is a plus!
  • Attention to Detail: Youll need to make sure every document is accurately indexed, scanned, and properly stored. Precision is key!
  • Strong Communication: Whether you\'re guiding applicants or answering questions from other agencies, strong customer service and communication skills are a must.
