Abraxas Academy Residential Shift Supervisor in Coal Township, Pennsylvania
CHOR YFS *is looking for *Shift Supervisors at our Coal Township Program to help coach and mentor Youth Counselors, ensuring that stated job responsibilities are carried out and complies with program policies and procedures. Our Coal Township Program will be a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility

Shift Supervisor: Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains a professional managerial relationship with Youth Counselors, ensuring they fulfill job responsibilities.
- Safeguards the personal safety of residents, staff and visitors.
- Mentors and directs Youth Counselors on implementation of reward based behavioral modification system.
- Utilizes Electronic Health Records (EHR) to record resident medications.
- Ensures Youth Counselors utilize EHR to record behaviors, room conditions, visitations, and any applicable service in accordance with company policy before the end of each shift.
- Reviews all documentation/reports written by Youth Counselors for accuracy and professionalism prior to submission.
- Administers medication to residents in accordance with program policy and procedures (Utilizing EHR to document all administrations).
- Ensures safe evacuation of residents during emergencies and fire drills.
- Problem solves and reports on programmatic issues at general staff and Supervisor meetings.
- Meets monthly with supervisees and completes supervision notes via server.
- Completes twice annual performance reviews of Youth Counselors.
- Ensures completion of monthly room searches by Youth Counselors.
- Uses assigned staff training curriculum to inform, guide, and demonstrate policies and procedures to newly hired Youth Counselors.
- Creates and assists scheduling of in-house, supervised and unsupervised passes, in conjunction with Lead Supervisor and as needed.
- Contacts on-call therapist, when necessary.
- Communicates appropriately with all invested parties via email (to be checked each shift), in-house communicator binders, and team meetings.
- Records reports (i.e. performance reviews, monthly supervision notes, disciplinary warning, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Physically restrains residents' - passive restraint training in accordance with program policies.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree required as well as at least one-year experience working with youth.
Certificates and Licenses
Valid driver's license
DPW medication administration
