Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) to lead and streamline our payroll operations for an organization with 1,200+ employees. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in either the hospitality or construction industry, strong leadership skills, and a passion for accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage full-cycle payroll for 1,200+ employees, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, as well as industry-specific requirements.

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance on complex payroll matters.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure alignment between payroll, benefits, and budgetary processes.

  • Handle payroll tax filings, reconciliations, wage garnishments, and year-end reporting (e.g., W-2s and 1099s).

  • Identify and implement improvements in payroll processes and systems, leveraging automation where possible.

  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert on payroll-related audits, compliance, and operational matters.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records, supporting internal reporting and external audits.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • CPP Certification (Certified Payroll Professional) – required.

  • 8+ years of experience in payroll management, with at least 5+ years in a supervisory role.

  • Preferred experience in the hospitality or construction industry managing payroll for large-scale operations (1,200+ employees).

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Extensive knowledge of full-cycle payroll processes, including payroll taxes, compliance, and reporting.

  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paycom) and HRIS systems.

  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to resolve payroll discrepancies proactively.
