Advanced Atomization Technologies Cleaner Maintenance - 2nd shift in Clyde, New York

Position Summary:

Cleaner will be in charge of maintaining all areas to employer standards. Duties will include vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, removing debris, emptying trash receptacles, replacing lining of trash cans, and bathroom services. Attention to detail and a positive attitude a must. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building.

  • Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures.

  • Assists in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and cafeteria.

  • Ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.

  • Washes windows.

  • Assists in examining building for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to lead custodian.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.

  • Detail-oriented and thorough.

  • Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.

  • Ability to keep the building clean and orderly.

  • Ability to interact with employees and visitors while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties

  • Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines; excellent time management skills

  • Pays attention to detail when cleaning

  • Organized and able to follow a schedule

  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, push, pull, lift repetitively, and walk during the daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time; physically able to push vacuum cleaner for extended periods of time; ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds

  • General knowledge of cleaning products, supplies, and techniques for cleaning

  • Able to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays

  • Previous experience cleaning preferred; training will be provided

  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods

  • Excellent organizational skills a must

  • Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision

Shift hours: 2:30pm - 10:30pm

Training may be completed on 1st shift (6:30am - 2:30pm) based on business needs.
