Requisition Summary The Peterbilt groupis responsible for preserving and maintaining a strong and successful network of suppliers and dealerships representing the PACCAR brand. The team communicates with PACCAR engineering teams, suppliers, and warranty departments. The position is responsible for component inspections, failure documentation, and conducting failure review meetings with key stakeholders including engineering, warranty departments, suppliers, and dealers. This position is key for PACCAR to learn and understand how parts fail in the field providing key insight to changes needed in product design, dealer service training, and dealer diagnostic processes. Job Functions / Responsibilities Perform inspection and testing of diesel engine components and other truck components Research claim details, troubleshooting documentation, bulletins, warranty policies, contracts, etc. Clearly and concisely document measurements and inspection findings Create and/or update testing procedures Review test findings with key stakeholders, e.g., warranty department, engineering, suppliers Maintain organization and tidiness of workstations Skills Fundamental understanding of mechanical and electrical systems Ability to gather and use information to support testing conclusions Ability to operate precision test instruments, which may require fine motor skills Ability to accurately and efficiently identify component and/or system failures Ability to effectively communicate technical information to audiences with varying technical expertise Skills (cont.)
