Description This is an opportunity to help support in the development, implementation, and administration of critical projects, processes, and systems for the Retail Division. As the Retail Operations Specialist, you will provide day-to-day coordination of Retail Operations activities, documenting procedures/system updates, providing reporting, and performing pipeline audits. Serving as a key operational liaison with the Finance, IT/Operations, Credit Administration, Commercial, and HR divisions. Location: This role is open to hybrid work within the Washington Trust Bank footprint of WA, ID and OR. Regular, reliable attendance is required. Essential Functions: Production and Compliance Coordinates and oversees workflow within area of responsibility to ensure accuracy and timely completion of functions. Resolves the more complex working problems. Supports the incentive plans tracking and reporting system for the Retail Division; assists the development team with any necessary programming changes, including testing. Documents and communicates procedure changes to support related application and systems updates. Performs internal pipeline audits to ensure accuracy within the reporting systems. Administers user metrics to insure adoption of established systems and processes. Participates in and/or coordinates projects designed to enhance productivity and implementation of new software and procedures. Acts as key liaison in addressing employee questions regarding operational needs, system questions, and any issues that may arise during daily branch activities. Collaboration with training and branch support departments to develop procedures as needed to support implementation of new systems, practices, and strategies. Maintains overall operational systems and procedures for department. Coordinates with outside departments to solve technical problems of an operational nature. Assists with Audit and Compliance support for the branch network to facilitate communication lines between teams and leadership. Timely and accurately provides business reporting to Retail Operations Manager consistent with identified needs. System Parameters/System Enhancements Develops and maintains high level of knowledge and aptitude in division's applications and systems. Processes, updates, and trains for department software applications with primary responsibility to support Customer Management Systems. Backs up, edits, or oversees system parameter updates, provides support to staff on PC software, participates in testing, product development and department related. Training and Process Improvement May assist with the coordination of the training of new and existing internal and external staff on department compliance and policy. Ability to perform or distribute tasks as needed to ensure department objectives are met. Ongoing maintenance of current desk procedure manuals for all duties in department including those used as a Business Continuity Plan or Disaster Recovery resource. Qualifications: Has at least 2 years of branch management or leadership experience. Experience with branch data reporting and Bank Intelligence systems. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people in a team environment. Demonstrates organizational and analytical skills, strategic thinking, and ability to work collaboratively or independently. Uses judgment, experience, and job knowledge to assist staff in resolving complex daily problems affecting workflow and goal achievement. Strong system and process analysis skills, and the ability to recognize process improvement opportunities and recommend positive courses of action.
