Job Description This position contributes directly to the exciting transformation of Puget Sound Energy's utility-scale generation and storage portfolio to meet the reliability and clean energy needs of our customers. Leads due diligence reviews and documentation of energy resource additions and other commercial transactions, including financial feasibility analyses, engineering review, operations review, environmental review, legal review, and real estate review. Supports Regulatory Affairs; demonstrates prudence of energy resource acquisition, development, and management. You will manage PSE's resource additions to the company's energy supply portfolio and other complex commercial transactions and developments. Leads key functions in the acquisition of new renewable energy resources, restructures existing resources, and directs on-going operations. Evaluates potential asset targets and assists the acquisition through commercial negotiations to closing. Works with PSE Executives to align business strategy and manage PSE's energy resources portfolio to include capital, operational, risk, compliance and/or budget requirements. Responsible to lead, direct, supervise, and coach professional and operational staff and to collaboratively interface with other PSE departments, resource and regulatory agencies, and other discipline-related organizations to develop policy and programmatic direction. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve employee, business, customer, and safety results. Proactively builds consensus among stakeholders and department personnel. Works with PSE legal counsel to support and align Energy Resources' business strategy. Prepares and manages departmental and programmatic budgets to achieve corporate goals. Ensures that all conditions are met related to deal closing and that acquisition is fully and successfully transitioned into PSE's resource portfolio.
