Finance Operations Manager: The primary purpose of the Finance Operations Manager is to lead the global Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and Credit functions of the business. This role is responsible for setting strategic initiatives surrounding payments and collections, customer credit segmentation, and maintaining an accurate daily inventory balance. This manager is largely responsible for a timely and accurate monthly accounting close, which include monthly accruals and journal entries, as well as variance analysis on key accounts. This role demonstrates technical and transactional accounting skills to ensure processes are being performed in compliance with US GAAP and internal ethical standards. Works closely with Finance Director and other business unit executives to deliver results and provide valuable recommendations to achieve financial goals. What You'll Do: Develop, execute, and track Finance Operations strategy to assist in achieving companywide goals Provides direct leadership management to Finance Operations supervisors, and provides mentorship to all individual team members Detail review of month-end journals from operation finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial close Owns elements of P&L and balance sheet statements to determine accuracy and perform analysis to explain variances for North America and EMEA entities. Partners with FP&A, accounting, operations, technology, and sales teams to discuss current and future processes to ensure most beneficial business decisions are being made. Serves as the finance liaison for projects and new business launches Supports the organization for various ad hoc requests that require cross-team collaboration and provide positive ROI for the business Holds the team accountable to timely collection of payments and ensuring proper credit balances throughout the global customer portfolio Establishes and maintains internal controls to minimize exposure of financial and operational risk. Oversees interaction with internal and external audit to ensure all controls are being followed Performs other related duties as required or requested What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting from fully accredited four-year institution is required; Master's degree preferred 8+ years' experience in corporate accounting, audit compliance, US GAAP, and/or financial analysis CPA/CMA/CFA strongly preferred Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills Experience with accounting software, Microsoft Great Plains a plus Excellent time management and prioritization skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey ideas and suggestions via multiple modes of communication Exhibits versatility and adaptability while interacting with others Ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment Demonstrates sound judgment and critical thinking Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $125,300- $187,900; actual pay may be subject to geography and experience Benefits:https://careers.univarsolutions.com/Default/content/Benefits/?locale=en_US What You Can Expect: We are ChemPoint.We are fanatical about every customer and supplier interaction and dedicated to reaching customers and delivering actionable insights to enable producer success.
