As an industry leader in USACE Engineering and Design support, Tetra Tech has placed contract capacity and been selected to lead the design of multiple ongoing top priority USACE projects, including rehabilitation of inland navigation lock and dam systems, design of new navigation locks, and coastal protection projects. These projects represent a once in a generation investment in our nation's waterways. Congress provided the USACE with $17B in supplemental funding through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This combined with a trend of record USACE annual funding appropriations and Emergency Supplemental Disaster Recovery Appropriations for USACE in 3 of the past 5 years totaling over $7B have the nation's waterways set up for a ten-year program of design and construction. The BIM/CAD Designer will be primarily responsible for supporting production on Projects from beginning to completion with experience and understanding of Disciplines in Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and a base understanding of the Civil field. An Ideal Candidate will have experience in both Autodesk and Bentley products such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation and OpenBuilding Designer. For those that have a mastery of some but not all software, on the job training will be available. A successful BIM/CAD designer will have a penchant for learning, have a detailed eye for quality work, be technically inclined, and a problem solver. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of CAD experience and 3+ years of experience utilizing BIM software (Revit or OpenBuildings) with a desire to learn new software and be part of a Team that is ever increasing in efficiency in our workflow. While preference will be given to candidates who can be present in our Bellevue office on a hybrid schedule, this role is available for remote work within the United States. Job Responsibilities: Proactively engage with Project Managers and design Engineers to ensure timely project completion within allocated budgets, which may include occasional overtime work. Assist structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering staff in the development of complex preliminary and final designs of hydraulic structures. Analyze complex sketches, notes, and other input to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings and models. Develop 3D models of project features using CADD software. Coordinate with the Tetra Tech CAD Manager to implement project-specific CAD standards. Set up project drawings to conform to client standards. Implement additional material data through Parts and Families or Instance Data Catalogs to produce Product Schedules and Quantity Reports. Be able to maintain these Libraries for a Project. Communicate effectively with Engineers and other CAD team members. Utilize CAD best practices and QA/QC procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency of their work. You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Associate degree in related field (experience can be substituted for degree).

5 years of relevant experience and working knowledge of structural/ electrical/ mechanical engineering principles, practices, and methods.

3 years of strong design experience and competence with BIM software (i.e. Revit, with a willingness to learn OpenBuildings)

Proven knowledge of plan set development
