VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT

Salary Range = $85,000 - $100,000, depending on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN FUNCTION: Plan, coordinate and implement programs that generate financial support for programs and projects consistent with the needs and goals of the entire organization.

REPORTS TO: Chief Strategy Officer

  • Directs all phases of fund raising for CWP, including major gifts, direct response/annual fund, special events, including sponsorships, gift planning and some grant preparation.

  • Supervises the maintenance of the donor database, including documentation of prospect management activity and receipting and acknowledgement of all gifts.

  • Develops an annual fundraising plan, conferring with CSO and Foundation Boards to develop and direct programs to cultivate donors and identify new funding opportunities.

  • Work with Senior Chaplain for outreach in the community to support ministry services and benevolence

  • Attends meetings of professional, civic and service organizations as a representative of CWP. Represents the organization at community events as requested.

  • Develops and maintains internal and external contacts to optimize fund raising efforts.

  • Supervises the planning of all special fund raising events, participates in establishing the budget and oversees the execution of each event.

  • Involved in the marketing, communication and public relation plans for all of Community Wellness Partners both internally and through any outside agencies.

  • Will perform other duties as assigned by the CSO.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing field or related field. At least five years’ experience in fund raising and development for non-profit organizations. High energy, positive attitude and high degree of initiative. Strong communication skills and ability to promote programs and ideas to potential donors. Ability to be agile working with donors as well as ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

HIPAA COMPLIANCE:

Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to CWP policies and HIPAA regulations governing the confidentiality and security of protected health information for both manual and electronic resident records, charts, information and other confidential information including (but not limited to) employee records, computer access codes and passwords.
