Hamilton College Assistant/Associate Director of Student Activities for Engagement in Clinton, New York

Position Details
12 month position
Provide robust support for student organizations
Coordinate and support several campus/student life traditions throughout the year
Directly advise the Campus Activities Board and support large-scale campus events, including concerts, festivals, comedy shows, and more.
Co-oversee a branch of Hamilton’s orientation trips; serve as on-call support during new student orientation in August
Support the student organization funding process and advise student treasurer
Coordinate social media and communication for department
Engage with multiple campus partners
Position includes opportunities for professional growth
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors degree
Well developed interpersonal skills
Experience in program planning and large scale event coordination
Advising experience
A talent for innovation
Skilled at problem solving
Aptitude in detail orientation
Preferred:
Masters degree in higher education, student personnel, counseling or related field
Multiple years of experience in Student Activities or comparable work environment
Experience in a liberal arts setting
Knowledge of student development theory and/or counseling
Experience supervising students
Remuneration & Benefits
$58,459 - $68,000 salary, commensurate with experience and education
