The Biology Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a tenure-track position in cell biology at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will teach a uniquely themed section of introductory biology, a mid-level course in cell biology with lab, an upper-level elective in their specialty (e.g., seminar), supervise senior thesis research, and contribute to our college's interdisciplinary programs in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and/or Neuroscience. An ongoing research program involving undergraduates is expected. The Biology Department faculty is a community of active teacher-scholars dedicated to equipping students with the skills for lifelong learning in the biological sciences and advancing our understanding of the natural world through original research. The teaching load for this position is four courses during the first year and five courses thereafter. The expected base salary range (9-month) for this position is $89,800 to $96,000.
