Position Overview:
The Substitute is ultimately responsible for filling in for teachers when they are unavailable to report to class. Substitute teachers will supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria.
Varying schedules and locations: (Leominster, Clinton, Fitchburg, Gardner, Winchendon, Athol)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Adaptability for caring for children
Manage classrooms effectively to student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work with other adults and with children
Have a willingness to learn new ways to work with and guide young children
Ability to follow directions
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Fulfillment of all specified health and safety clearance requirements (physical, Monteux, MMR)
Pass a CORI screening
Willingness to be available on an "on call" basis
Appreciation for various ethnic groups
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk, bend, sit on floor, and climb stairs
Must be able to lift to 40 pounds to lift children and/or work-related equipment

Compensation:
A salary within the range of $18.96 to $18.96 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy. The candidate’s exact placement will be determined based on factors consistent with MOC’s compensation framework. MOC offers a competitive benefits package including:
