Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire Maintenance.
As Maintenance at MercyOne, you will evaluate a variety of functions in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of the physical plant, grounds, and equipment. Supports, facilitates, and participates in the elder-focused social model of care.
Utilizes skills in a specialized area of expertise or in general knowledge of several areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting mechanics, heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
Monitors hospital levels of temperature, humidity, steam pressure, and other critical check points.
Makes adjustments to correct abnormal conditions.
Repairs normal hospital equipment such as tables, chairs, and other items used for patient care.
Ensures all inspections are current for assigned preventative maintenance schedules.
Documents all request for maintenance services.
Understands and demonstrates proficiency in the operation of all physical plant equipment.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday days; on/call schedule
General Requirements:
Must be able to maintain, repair and replace existing utility systems and write up material specifications for projects.
Mechanical aptitude and proven ability to use hand and power tools, to work on ladders at various heights, and demonstrate a safety-conscious attitude.
Ability to operate large vehicles, tractors, plows, and various lawn equipment.
Must have valid Driver's License.
Must be able to work with limited supervision to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner and have the ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
Ability and willing to work in a variety of environments, including office settings, classrooms, laboratories, mechanical rooms, service tunnels, and outside areas.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED required.
