Job Description:

  • Determine design approaches and parameters

  • Perform system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints

  • Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results

  • Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability

  • Perform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineers

  • Write scripts to control synthesis and build tools

    Essential Functions:

    Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer will review, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished hardware on highly complex electronic & mechanical spaceflight assemblies. Works independently. Proven ability to drive FRB/MRB activities to closure. Ability to generate relevant metrics and present them to internal and external customers. Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees. Responsible for managing complex projects at this level, involving delegation of work and review of work products.

    Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary. Responsible for continuous improvement focus and ZDP execution. Will execute with Program Management, IPTs, and Quality Leadership to report status and process improvements. Partners with other functions to achieve efficient resolution of issues without compromise to quality. Microsoft Office experience

    Qualifications:

  • Requires proficient knowledge of job area. May have practical knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
