Are you a smart, driven student eager to take on the fascinating challenges of the power industry? Dive into the dynamic power industry with AECI’s Thomas Hill Power Plant as a Mechanical Engineering Intern for summer 2025.

What You'll Do:

  • Take on engineering projects aimed at enhancing the reliability of our coal and gas plant fleet.

  • Analyze plant equipment failure mechanisms and develop preventative maintenance strategies.

  • Assist in testing coordination, data collection, report reviews, bid specification writing, and contractor bid evaluations.

  • Support power plant improvement initiatives, including maintenance evaluations and cost-saving measures.

  • Manage smaller-scale outage projects.

  • Work full-time, Monday through Friday, with the potential to earn course credit (check with your school's career center).

Who We're Looking For:

  • Current Mechanical Engineering students who have completed at least two years toward a Bachelor of Science degree.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access) and AutoCAD is preferred.

  • Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential.
