PPG INDUSTRIES, INC. Supply Chain Planner, Finished Goods in Cleveland, Ohio

As the Supply Chain Planner, Finished Goods, you will plan the right level of supply to meet demand and maintain healthy FG levels to achieve On Time in Full performance with customers while achieving working capital quarterly targets. Finished Goods Planning will focus on maintaining system parameters, creating supply plans and plan batches to meet demand or replenish safety stock for the assigned planner codes. You will train in all areas of supply chain operations and assigned to manage supply with a focus on Batch planning and Finished Goods (FG) inventory planning. You will work onsite in Cleveland, OH and you will report to the Supply Chain Manager. Main Responsibilities: Batch Planning/FG Planner Focus: Create and manage supply plan (planned batches) in Oracle to balance supply and demand 1-3+ months out. Review demand forecast and production output changes for potential impact to your inventory planning responsibilities and adjust supply plans accordingly. Maintain assigned Finished Goods items' inventory. Participate in monthly SIOP Supply Review and Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) driving actions to meet demand and escalating all critical supply gaps. Coordinate new product development orders, trials, transfers, and buildouts (phase-outs) and validate proper supply plan timing and requirements in Oracle. Collaborate with our site team leaders and demand planning team to ensure supply plan and inventory planning processes align with future demand. Supply Chain Planner: Participate in all supply chain meetings Maintain safety stock levels and other system parameters within Planning Excellence guidelines accounting for supply and demand variability, lead time fluctuations, and other dynamics. Participate in improvement projects aimed to deliver supply chain related cost or efficiency savings. Follow-up with Operations team to fix inventory inaccuracies with physical and system inventories. Conduct regular reviews of inventory data, identifying slow moving, obsolete/excess inventory and propose corrective actions. Complete all training and be willing to back-up other job tasks within supply chain planning including customer service. Qualifications: BS/BA in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field 2+ years (3-7 years preferred) of Supply Chain experience in a high-performance manufacturing facility as a planner/buyer with planning either raw material or Finished Goods or both First-hand Experience and understanding of MRP or DDMRP systems and processes APICS or ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) Oracle, SAP, or other ERP system experience Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups) is highly recommended Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (MS Power BI) or SQL applications PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
