CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS The position is responsible for continuously improving the accuracy of the forecasts of the demand for finished goods in order to improve customer satisfaction, sales, profitability and overall supply chain effectiveness. This position exists to assist Sales, Marketing, Materials/Purchasing Management, Operations, Supply Chain and the Technical group in managing the product lifecycle process. This includes the introduction of new products to market, forecasting the quantity and timing of demand for current products and disposition of existing discontinued products. This role will utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts; participate in research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine forecasts to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. This position will be responsible for Vendor Managed Inventory - to include online replenishment using customer systems, sku forecasting/profiling, promotional planning, purchase order creation and performance reporting. They will also manage customer inventory and product availability. This role will execute product life cycle management and lead Lean, Continuous Improvement Projects and Sales and Operational Planning reviews supporting assigned brands/customers. This role will analyze, develop, and test programs and user interfaces required for implementations or enhancements for our Supply Chain systems. They are responsible for troubleshooting any system issues and working with users to gather requirements for new functionality and model enhancements. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree or 4 years experience Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a Supply Chain related field KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 2-3 years experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Sales, or Operations Preferred: APICS CPIM Certification Blue Yonder Solutions, Business Objects-DSF & SCIS, MES, QAD, REACH, AOM, IVAN TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple complex projects, concurrently. Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred: Procurement, Technical or Manufacturing experience within the coatings industry.
