The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will lead a team responsible for all the Automation testing efforts across multiple divisions at Sherwin-Williams. This position requires an individual who is passionate and determined to deliver the best leadership, communication, and solutions by aligning all the assets within the program to deliver maximum business value. The incumbent must possess the ability to make complex decisions, has an entrepreneurial spirit, and has the strong desire for excellence will do well in this role. This role will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives. The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will have a broad range of technical knowledge, will manage a team that supports multiple initiatives, and will provide consultative technical leadership across the organization; from strategic decision making, to project planning, to governance and oversight. This position will work closely with others to share knowledge of the testing process & standards via collaborative meetings, documentation, and formal presentations. The QA Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Developers, QA Testers, Auditors, Help Desk Coordinators, 2nd Level support, end-users, and other stakeholders to ensure that software is delivered on time and meets specification. Strategy & Planning Participate in E-Commerce software release planning sessions Make recommendations for enhancements of Automation approach and Strategy Point out areas of concern Document and maintain test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing Establish, document and promote team standards with regards to automated testing Establish an efficient feedback loop between the QA team and development teams to ensure our QA staff is effectively utilized and continuously implementing process improvement Mentor and train Developers, QA Associates and other team members on best practices and industry standards. Work with and support the Software Quality Engineers to implement and maintain an automated test framework. Plan software deployment schedule Acquisition & Deployment Technical bundling of software releases Conduct quality control tests to ensure integrity, reliability and validity Full regression testing Build a consolidated set of Automated regression tests to ensure that new functionality works as expected and does not disrupt/alter current functionality Monitor the progression of the software deployment Work with the Help Desk Coordinators to review problem reports related to the software release Work with the 2nd level support team to resolve problems Recommend software fixes Escalate the release of software patches where required Manage the list of fixes that are not critical and should be held until next software release Communicate software distribution status Ensure that all back-end system applications are in sync Track statistics on release success User feedback Business partner satisfaction Operational Management Lead and guide the QA effort for E-Commerce application projects and maintenance items, i.e., defining test scope, creating test plans and timelines, assigning QA resources, attending/coordinating project meetings and effectively reporting test results. Support the projects, maintenance, and production of E-Commerce application activities as it relates to QA, which includes, but is not limited to, coordinating support activities with the business and technical leads, creating test plans, writing both manual and automated test scenarios, performing functional, usability, and regression testing, performance testing, bug tracking and reporting.
