Essential Functions Strategy & Planning Work with SMEs and IT peers to research, review, and recommend data and datasets that are fit for purpose. Partner with the business and other IT groups to understand, document and source data. Work with the Data Governance Team to ensure that governance objectives align with EDI strategy. Understanding of Data Profiling concepts to support data quality efforts. Work with business representatives to understand needs and collaborate in generating the best solution to solve business needs. Drive best in class data engineering practices that include standard software development life cycle practices. Acquisition & Deployment Provide documentation and guidance for business/technical efforts for large sized efforts. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. Collaborate with source system teams to effectively synchronize data elements while reducing dual storage requirements as much as possible. Collaborate with downstream systems to ensure data is understood and meets the requirements of consumers. Liaise with vendors for efficient implementation of agreed upon deliverables. Lead the defining, building, and validation of acceptance criteria. Operational Management Participate with the development of team norms, support agile methodologies, and participate within the Agile community. Share Agile best practices with the program. Lead the creation and implementation of high impact internal team process improvement. Ensure cooperation with peer functional areas. Documentation of work. Includes System Flows, Data Flows, Process Flows, Detail design for project and capability level efforts. Provide guidance to the team by assisting team members in understanding efforts needed to complete tasks. Provide direction on solving complex activities. Ability to support simultaneous work efforts. Manage multiple across program projects, assignments, and priorities. Reduce complexity and cost. Ensure cooperation with peer functional areas. Ensure all Global Data Privacy obligations are met in compliance with current company policy. Incidental Functions Assists Quality Assurance (QA type activities). Collaborates with the development of test scripts and performs manual testing. Training. Ability to train /mentor program members regarding the Analyst role. Ability to review and share amongst others on the team. Formal Education & Certification Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) or in lieu of a degree, at least 12 years in experience in the field of Information Technology or Business (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of Information Technology or Business) Knowledge & Experience Required 5+ years IT experience 3 years of Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Technology Analyst experience. 3 years of SQL, P-SQL, or ANSI SQL. 3 years of knowledge of SDLC. Knowledge of various tools such as Word, Excel, Mural, Visio, and Control-M. Knowledge of Agile, Jira, and ETL. Experience with data warehousing and database constructs. Preferred Knowledge & Experience Not Required: Detailed understanding of data flows across SW internal systems.
