The Sherwin-Williams Company Process Engineer Senior Manager in Cleveland, Ohio

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Management of Others Facilitates performance management process to achieve business results. Manage contract engineers and third party vendors as required by project scope and internal manpower availability. Develops project and/or group budgeting. Estimates resource needs and probability of success. Plans schedules and directs work of group/project. Propose and control budget for project. Develop Process Engineering staff to achieve successful project execution and promote career growth. Strategic, Tactical Planning and Innovation Lead process initiatives. Assist with development of annual Process Strategic & Tactical Plans. Develop and maintain relationships with internal or external partners. Identify innovation opportunities and champion development of new project proposals. Lead and/or contribute to capital projects. Area of Specialization: Process Initiatives Develop the strategic and tactical planning for the process team. Project Management: Project Lead for multiple medium complexity projects, accountable for project success (scope, schedule, cost). Write functional specification. Develop cost estimates and vendor Request for Quotations (RFQ). Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT). Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to improve performance for existing processes. Innovation: Identify and implement innovations to existing systems, lead medium complexity innovation project Engineering Support Champion development of Engineering Standards and Guidelines Champion Process Engineering Continuous Improvement projects with validated savings. Develop and lead training for process initiatives. Support an annual individual CI savings of $0.250M and develop and support a portfolio contribution of 1MM in CI Savings annually. Support GSC Engineering teams and Innovation in development of design drawings, functional specifications, detailed cost estimates, and user documentation for systems on capital projects and plant processes. Develops and implements equipment & process improvement projects. Incorporates and validates state-of-the-art technology while considering operational requirements into the design of new processes. Leverage and develop reporting to support and advance plant improvement projects. Project Management Accountable for scope development, schedule, cost, and quality of projects led by the team. Allocates and plan resources to ensure project successes. Provide resource planning of the team. Approve FCA's for compliance to standards and budgetary guidelines. Provide final technical review to ensure design is sound and has merit. Review IRR calculations and MOC documents. Proven ability to lead $1MM in capital investment projects and manage a portfolio level of project loading at $10MM. s. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: BA or BS in Engineering or related field Preferred: BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: At least eight years of experience in engineering or related field. Ability to demonstrate roles with increasing responsibility. Preferred: Knowledge of chemical batch manufacturing processes Lean six sigma experience or belt certification TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
