PROFESSIONAL PLACEMENT SERVICE LLC Policy Service Specialist in Cleveland, Ohio

We are seeking a highly skilled and assertive Policy Services Specialist to join our team. As a Policy Services Specialist, you will be responsible for administering the Annuity and Life Insurance Programs at a small Fraternal Benefit Society. This role requires strong knowledge of Annuities and Life Insurance, excellent documentation practices, and outstanding communication skills.

Duties:

  • Prepare and process annuity and insurance contracts upon receiving application

  • Assist members with making choices, completing forms and conversion applications

  • Manage the administrative duties of policy maintenance, claim processing, and dividend handling

  • Prepare all forms relating to service and maintenance of our policies, review them for accuracy and completeness

  • Prepare and process loan origination paperwork

  • Make data changes to the policy system and process claims for payment after verification

  • Print and distribute outgoing policy notices on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis

  • Send out forms/letters for various transactions and process when returned

  • Serve as a resource for member and sales agent inquiries, by telephone and e-mail, by providing annuity and life insurance policy information

  • Explain policy provisions and transaction processing

  • Maintain Ohio Life Insurance Licensure requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma - Possession of an active Ohio Life Insurance license for a minimum of two years

  • Proven experience as a Policy Service Specialist or in a similar role

  • Strong knowledge of Annuities and Life Insurance

  • Experience in providing excellent customer service

  • Current or prior experience of working face-to-face in an office setting

  • Knowledge in the use of basic office equipment, such as a computer, telephone, printer, and fax machine
